Toledo was amazing...it's history and beauty captures you. Toledo was the main capital of Spain before they decided to move it to Madrid. Many religions and languages lived side by side, especially the Christians, Jews and Muslims, until someone decided to make it one language and one religion....

MadridCarmen's observations

- lots of Peruvians- cops are much hotter in Madrid- cops are more friendly - they protest about everything in Madrid- when you hear and see lots of fire engines and police outside your building then there's probably a fire near by and you should pay attention rather than run for the camera to take pictures- everything is close by in Madrid and you don't really need to use the metro- if you go to a bullfight, the bull ends up dead most of the time- churro s isn't as good as it is in Barcelona - the prostitutes hang out in front McDonald's! "Would you like fries with that?"- the cops like to watch the hookers- it's entertaining to watch the cops watching the hookers- Madrid reminds me of Sydney- lots more people stand up to eat tapas in Madrid than in Barcelona - Spanish has more of a "lisp" in Madrid - boats run on solar power engines are "amazing" according to some American tourists! Ummmm hello!!!!- Portuguese tarts are yummy in Madrid- finding a laundromat is not so easy- so many Irish pubs.... No need to go to Ireland - STILLis possible to have TOO much tapas and paella - the taxi cabs display a letter on the back of the car which indicates what day of the week they are allowed to drive. This is to restrict the number of cabs on the road at one time.- not as many church bells ringing hourly
