Volcanic cave
I stayed in Playa Blanca which is a quiet resort and perfect for people who want to get away from it all. It has a beautiful beach complete with watersports. There isn't much going on in the evening in Playa Blanca.

Timanfaya National Park is a must see in Lanarote. Most of the trip there is spent on the coach as you are not allowed to walk around the volcanoes. The scenery is breathtaking to look at. I did get to stop off at the visitors car park and have a demostration of how hot it is just a few metres below the surface. I took a camel ride too across a small part of the park.

Jameos del Agua was another of my favourite places to visit. There was an underwater lagoon that has blind albino crabs. There is a natural auditorium, beautiful gardens and a swimming pool. It's a lovely half day out. I also visited the wine museam and came home with some fantastic red and white wine so well worth the visit.
