Hi a long gap because after writing a long blog before we left Oliva my connection went down and I lost it all We finally left our lovely beach Sophie was very sad but we had had to curtail her walks because she ran so much she became lame. After the storm the seas were dying down but a lot of jelly fish were washed up as big as dinner plates transparent with a violet frill. Any way we set the sat nav and checked the route to make sure it avoided Valencia and it did. We planned to stay at a site in the sierra Prades at 900 mtrs. We followed the directions and were heading towards the Prades but it was not a route I would have chosen. It took us right up into the Prades and 50 ks of hairpin bends Hugh gallently said he was managing ok so we continued. He did brilliantly but we had to pull over so that cyclists could pass us on their way down. We found one campsite but not ours. I asked a farmer on a tractor and he said we had to turn around and go back up the mountain 12ks. It was 5pm by this time and we couldn't face it. So we made the decicion to go on towards our next site . we knew it was too far to get to right across the middle of a Spain but decided to stop at a service place when it got dark. We got as far a Gorroza and stopped at the first service place after it it was 8pm. we parked between two big lorries hoping they would hide us and we would be ok. Hugh kept a big spanner by him and locked Peggy Sue onto the Honda and said I should sleep with my clothes on !!! Actually it was ok one lorry went at 3.30am the other stayed and chatted to us in the morning, the driver I mean. We decided to miss out the next stop the weather was getting colder and rain was promised so we continued over to a place between Bilbao and St Sebastion. We got lost again looking for the site and ended up in the middle of town I asked directions from a nice young man and it was a bit complicated so he said follow me and took us there so kind. A lovely site we are top of ahill overlooking a bay on one side and mountains on the other. If it stops raining as they promise it will be lovely and we may stay a week and explore. The only draw back is we have to come to the bar for internet access such a shame. Hugh has a G&T which he said they made by rubbing the lemon around the edge of the glass. It did taste lemony and my beer is good too. Anyway thats where we are we may even put the awning up whilst here. Hope this goes ok
