Wow, what a trip. So many pictures sum it up quite well but you can also read on 😊 (sorry, it is only one blog entry and therefore quite long). We went to Slovakia by car and stayed in Horny Smokovec in the High Tatra Mountains. We arrived in the evening, and it was foggy and rainy. Traveling, seeing, taking pictures (a lot ;) ), hiking, snorkeling, swimming, walking, exploring, trying to make the most of the rare time, and being mainly outdoors... We reached the train station 3 minutes before the train came (luckily). If we had missed it we would had to wait another hour for the next train.

2004 there was a big storm which destroyed quite some parts of the mountain forrest.

These are the remains.

The ascent was not too steep but quite long. So when we saw a mountain top we thought: ok, that's the peak. But it was not. This thought came into our mind 2-3 times until we finally reached the "real" peak.
