Every year for children's day cities and villages do magical forest. It's sometimes a walk through a forest, sometimes it's a challenge course, sometimes it's a combination. Of course, you have magical creatures that meet you along the way. Janka and Risko went with us. Julia almost fell asleep on the drive there - we went to Kraliky which is a ski resort in the winter. But she didn't sleep, and I was glad because I needed her to be tired so she goes to bed at a normal time. Now I know that this really doesn't work. We get to the starting point and there are two clowns - apparently Julia is not fond of clowns and I have to carry her through the entrance. After that she was fine. We met characters from Mrazik, the Snowhite and the seven dwarfs, kings, queens, Maja the bee, and even Harry Potter. Julia managed to go through all the obstacles and I didn't have to carry her much, even though this was basically a 2 hour hike in the hilly forest with occasional stops. At the end the kids got treats and a spekacka (this is meat - it looks like a fat short hot dog). When we came down to the valley, they had small fire pits (I think that's what it's called - circle of rocks and inside you have burning wood) set up for the participants. Julia is not wearing a diaper during the day so we went to the bathroom and Janka smoked a cigarette. While she was smoking, a gypsy girls, about 8 years old, came because she got lost. Go figure. I showed her where to go so they can call her parents over the microphone, but on her way there she found her lost parents. Yes, that's how it really was, she wasn't lost, the parents were. Oh well. We cooked those spekacky over the fire and Julia ate more than a half of one, and some bread. Then she wanted to jump, so we went to the jump house, but I had to hold her hands at the edge because there were big kids without supervision jumping all over the little kids. Great parenting skills people! then it started sprinkling, so we left. The whole day was really cold, about 16 degrees Celsius. Thank goodness I bought a jacket yesterday. Of course Julia took a little while to go to bed again, but not as long as yesterday. She had a great time at the magical forest and made a new friend, Risko. 😊
