When it comes to corruption between business and government, bribes are usaully used to secure business, such as kick backs to get work. But in Russia it is simply to stay open, officials are not afraid to openly threaten business owners with violence in order to get money. Many companies are now wondering if they can afford to stay in the country, afraid that if they dont pay their businesses will be burned to the ground. There a little efforts to curb the corruption and it is at all levels of the Russian Government.
