Am sat in a little cafe in the middle of Irkutsk, which would definately not have found had it not been for our guide Kostya, who has been brilliant. But back to that a bit later. Have done so much since arriving in Russia that really can't believe I have been here 12 days already. This was quite a trek. Not every decided to walk this mountain, because it was raining and foggy, but it was so worth it, the views were eery and surreal. Walking home through the forest reminded me of home.

This hotel was started what appears to be some time ago, but the money ran out so it was never finished, it is just an empty shell of something that could be wonderful in a stunning location.

It was so cold - 10 degrees! They say if you get in it adds 5 years to your life. I did it 4 times, I don't know whether thats 20 years on, or hypothermia induced stupidity!

It looks like your having a great time out their. the photos look realy cool, shame about the unfinished hotel by the lake......that could have been.....! the vodka train looked like alot of fun......and its good that you found other people to keep company with. take care your self and keep out of mischeif!! lol xx
