Catherine Palace

This is my first entry. My husband and I wish to visit Catherine Palace in Tsarskoe Selo. We are leaving the US on 29 July, spending a few days in Helsinki then on to Peter. We have tried to get info via e-mail about available tours but have not received any replies. Also, considering that much identity theft comes out of Russia, we are a bit reluctant to book w/ a tour on-line giving credit card numbers!

We are under the impression that Catherine must be seen w/ a private tour as singles without tours are only admitted at 4PM- this leaves one hour to tour before closing! Is this info correct?

Does anyone have recent info regarding their tour to Catherine? We don't care if this is a bus tour or a private tour but we need transport as we're staying in the city and not planning to rent a car. Between my husband and me we can get by with Spanish and French but our Russian is rudementary. The tour would need to be in English in order for us to get anything out of it.
