Sunday, I decided to take some pictures of Parcul Tineretului (ie Tineretului Park). It was raining when I woke up, of course. So I waited and waited, and finally the sun came out. I grabbed my camera and took a stroll. It is a beautiful, good sized park. It is completely surrounded by apartment blocks on all sides... an urban oasis, if you will. It was a combination of the season, the light and the fact that there was no one around. It reminded me of a fairytale...maybe a slightly ominous one.

I took this right before it started raining. I had to run home because I had no umbrella. Where is Rihanna when you need her?

They set up a stage right in the beginning of the park. Every weekend, starting Friday night, they play music. Everything from traditional Christmas carols and peasant music, to Avril Lavigne's and Thalia's greatest hits. A real mix. But whatever they're playing interferes with my naps because their amplifiers are turned up to the maximum. I think they'll probably blow before Christmas rolls around. Or so I hope.
