Sunday, I decided to take some pictures of Parcul Tineretului (ie Tineretului Park). It was raining when I woke up, of course. So I waited and waited, and finally the sun came out. I grabbed my camera and took a stroll. It is a beautiful, good sized park. It is completely surrounded by apartment blocks on all sides... an urban oasis, if you will. All the sea birds have arrived to sit out the winter in the park. I actually fed the birds, which made me feel like an old lady. But like Mary Poppins implied, it was fun.

In the middle of a lake was an island, with two bridges, that connected one half of the park with the other.

The sky looked especially clear after the rain. Too bad it didn't last.

This is a herd of dogs. I have seen them before, early in the morning, sleeping together in the grass in a patch of sunshine. Wild life in the park, huh?

I am glad to see jogging is becoming more mainstream here. It used to be that if boys saw you running, they'd chase you. Or maybe the rain scared them away.
