Slow but free internet access is available in tourist offices bust we do not want to spend the time uploading detailed infol We will wait for a fast internet access.

We spent two days in Porot visitng Bob and Dinah Jayes who were looking after their grandchildren. Obligatory trips included the five bridges, river trip and a visit to a port wine cellar in our case Grahams. We mastered the bus and metro system so were not faced with driving rhought Poro. A pleasnant family lunch in a trditional restaurant ended out stay in Porto.

Then we followed the Doura along its dramatic winding gorge to the main port wine growing area. Spactacularscenery. Our campsite was the highest in Protugal and cold to boot just plus3.

The weather is kinder today the sun is shining and we are on our way to the coast- We have just walked in a wooded park which ws surrounded by a brick walll and was started by monks in the 1467 century.

Hope to be able to post detailed report and pictures soon,
