ready o go to war
We are on the way again. Still in Spain but slowly making our way to Portugal. Our next stop was Leon. We had been here before and on the way to Portugal. We knew we staying in the old town and were warned about the post in the middle of the road. You had to ring the monastery and they would arrange it from there. But there was no need to. Saw how another one got through while the post was up so did the same and our GPS took us right to the door and that was the time we saw we were at the same place we stayed three years ago, a bit of a shock. We remembered we had a good stay there so were happy to stay there again. Last time we missed out on the Cathedral due to a wedding but that was now open. We went there the next day. A very interesting church it was. Spend a bit of time there. Walking back to the B+B for that is what it is through the tiny streets of Leon we remembered the places we ate three years ago. This B+B is also the place where

the Pilgrims that walk to Santiago stay. We spoke with a couple of them while we had tea at some cheap Chinese joint. We ate there from tin plates. Liz had a hamburger that did not look like a hamburger at all. Liz was most annoyed about it. The Pilgrims we spoke with did a lot of walking. It was a family but not all of them walked. After hearing about the walks we were glad we had a car. This was it for Leon and now we were on the way to Barganca. We would stay there just for the night. The GPS .took us to a place well out of town. Was a very nice place. The owners very nice people showed us how to get to town We had to go by car. Found easy a park along the river. There was some sort of concert on that night so very busy. They eat very late we had to walk around till 7.30 p.m. We had no idea that the time in Portugal was 1 hour back. It was a long time before we had some food after finding a trip advisor restaurant that suppose to be

top. We did get a nice meal. Coming out the restaurant we had no idea where our car was. The streets all look alike so we went the wrong way. Nobody speaks any English. We walked around for a while and it is all up and down not easy walking. We found a nice gentlemen that helped us out. He asked what can we remember where we parked. When we said at the river he soon took us to the right place and the car. Back at the B+B the owners greeted us with a glass of wine. That is wine for Liz free, beer for me I had to pay. This was the last stop for Porto. That will be our next one and a stay for five days. Than we tell you about Porto.
