Friday... after a 6 hour bus ride we arrived in Lagos at about 10pm. We found our hostal... which was by far the nicest hostal i´ve seen/ stayed in. It was filled with people around our age and there was a huge entertainment room with couches and a big tv and a couple computers. Our room was just the 6 of us that came together: Me, Cody, Colleen, Adam, Alex and Brad. We settled in and then went to a restuarant right down the street called NahNahBah.. owned by the same people that owned our hostal. It was a really fun place... it kind of had a tiki bar atmosphere with reggae music and cool artwork on the walls. After dinner, we talked to a few people that worked in our hostal and they told us a few good places to go out. We found out there were like 10 guys staying at our place that go to UW Madison and are studying abroad in the UW Platteville program in Rome... weird! We watched the Badger game at midnight since it was on tv there... bummer that they lost. We were pretty tired from the long day, so we went out to a bar called Three Monkeys for awhile, but didn´t stay out too long. It was really weird how many people spoke English there. I probably heard one person speak Portuguese the whole weekend... a lot of the people working in restuarants and hostals were people from the US with internships there. Saturday we woke up and every morning in our hostal we had free breakfast from 9-12. There was the cutest Portuguese woman who worked there who made crepes and lemon tea.. and would not take "i´m full" from anyone. The crepes were never-ending haha. After breakfast, went to the beach for the day... which was like a five minute walk from our place. It was great weather out.. and the beaches were some of the prettiest beaches I´ve ever seen. It was really cool because it was like a series of like 10 mini beaches separated but these huge rocks. A group of about sixteen people from our program also went to Lagos for the weekend but stayed in a different place. We ended up hanging out with a lot of them for most of the day on the beach Saturday. Saturday night we attemped to find a

Our favorite restuarant
new restaurant to eat at, but very few were in the area we were looking haha. We found this one little café that had one guy sitting at the bar and one bartender at the bar. They did have a menu so we thought we´d check it out. We all got our drinks and Adam was the first to order and he got a hamburger with fries... and she took his menu and just walked away from the table. We were all kind of confused why she didn´t finished the order-taking, but we thought maybe she had to do something else quick. After about 10 minutes of her not coming back, Brad walked up to the kitchen to ask if she could finished taking orders when we realized she thought for some reason Adam had ordered burgers for all of us. ... the only food I haven´t liked this semester so far.... a soft meatload burger.. haha. yuck. After dinner we got ready at the hostal and played some games in the kitchen with some other people there. We went out for the night... it was fun. Sunday we went to the beach again, with a guy from our hostal

crepes and lemon tea thanks to "mama"
named Brent from Australia who is taking 2 and 1/2 months off of work just to travel by himself! He was staying in our particular hostal for 2 weeks. We pretty much hung out outside all day and then went out again at night. They were no busses that left Lagos on Sunday to go back to Sevilla, so we stayed until Monday and took the 1:45pm bus back home then. It was a really fun/relaxing weekend!

Wow.., you are gorgeous. Thats the only thing that does come to my mind. Its great to have beautifull people in portugal I am portuguese myself.., but unfortunatelly I have never spend holydays in Lagos or algarve , the province where the city of lagos is. (I prefer the north of portugal. It has no beaches but is more greeny and less hot ) If you need something..,let me know . I enjoy to help .
