Saturday was our final work day… the week sure seemed to go by fast. It was a cloudy, windy, rainy day, but we still managed to get some work done – unloading and stacking wood, shoveling and bagging clay pellets, unloading a truckload of sand for the walkway, laying some pavers, and building rebar cages for the front perimeter wall. We stopped work early to spend some time with the family. We enjoyed a homemade meal of pork cutlets ("schabowy"), boiled potatoes and salad. The family sang some songs in Polish, with one of the kids (David) accompanying them on the guitar, and Bill played his harmonica. The kids shared what they want to do when they get out of school, and what they thought about having international volunteers come to work at their home. We said our goodbyes and headed back to Wrocław. We enjoyed our last dinner in Wrocław at the Pod Papugami restaurant in the Market Square.
