Krakow
Krakow from above Last weekend we went for a trip to Poland that was organised by the esn form university. After a 9 h trip we reached the cheapest hostel in Krakow. As we were too late for dinner there we started to explore Krakow at night. So we found some snack bar's to eat and asked for some Pubs and local diskos. Surprisingliy the polish beer is quite good, I'm so use to the hungarian awful ones. Next day, the organisation was quite chaotic. No one has seen the organizer since we left the bus, so we did't know at which time is breakfirst. So we had a look in the breakfirst room: breakfirst from 8am -> perfekt. Our room was nearly awake, so I waked up the rest of the floor. As us was told later: Breakfirst for our group is planned at 9am, so everyone could sleep one hour again. This was a wonderfull sunny day where we visited and explored Krakow. Absolutely clean, very nice churches and cathedrals, the Wawel Hill with the King's Castle and the Cathedral abow the river Wawel.
Unfortunately I began to fall ill in the evening so I decided to stay at home and

The Cathedral and the King's Castle on the Wawel-Hill don't explore the nightlife.
Next day, on Sunday we visited the "Wieliczka-Saltmine", a World Culture Heritage. We saw some unique salt sculptures and bas-reliefs, the world's most beautiful Chapel of St Kinga, situated 101 metres under the ground, salt lakes and unique chambers with visible traces of the actual exploitation preserved, with a collection of mining machines and equipments.
In the night some people made a discovery in our directly neighbourhood. The 32th internat. Theater Festival took part here. Everything (food and beer) was for free. So the were the group "Immitating the dog" from Great Britain and had a lot of fun here. And no one said anything. Even if about 15 people from us were here now, only some looked quite strange. But this year was the first, where the free beer was not enough - no one knows why.
The last day on the way back we stopped at the concentration camps in Auschwitz and Birkenau where the nazis killed about 1.5 million people there.
As my illness was not getting better the last days, even the opposite, I went to the doctor when I was back in Budapest. Diagnosis: Bronchitis! I was shocked. The first

tower of the town hall (Rathausturm) time I have this. And normally I'm never ill except of common cold or infraktions. So now I'm staying at home, eating antibiotika, pills against thick throat, headach, pain.
Hope to get well as soon as possible.
