Most of the day was spent travelling southwards along river valleys, over moors and through forests. For a long stretch we were delayed as we we were following the route of whst looked like a sponsored cycle ride. At one point we followed the traffic along the old road to beat them through a tunnel.
We had a couple of highlights. Firstly we re-crossed the arctic circle which on the road we were following is on a windswept plateau. Later on we passed the Laksfossen, a really powerful waterfall on a wide fast flowing river fed by the snow melt.
The night was spent on a pleasant rural campsite at a hamlet called Trones.
