I'm typing this all after the trip was done, so my memory is shaky at best. Plus my laptop died in which I already had a nice long entry already written out. Ah well. It has been a few years since I've wandered around Norway, and this nation is still amazing.

After a long flight in, I finally landed in the outskirts of Stavanger to spend the night. Sadly I never did get any time to venture forth into the city, and the crappy weather made for very little pictures. Typical countryside though I saw which reminded me of home. The highlights though were finally, after 2 long years, grabbing some melkesjokolade (milk chocolate bar) at a local store. Ahhh how I missed chowing down on all the foreign treats I used to gobble up in droves. Ringnes beer is still alright, though nothing spectacular. Heck I even turned on the tele to watch some NRK shows and cheesy movies. Svish is still going strong I see, though it needs more metal music haha.

Next stop was mighty Bergen to board my ship. I'm kind of familiar with this city since a few years ago I took a

train here to do some tourist stuff, and I still think it is one of the most beautiful cities ever. Well, when it isn't raining that is. A lot of familiar sights put a huge grin on my face and took my mind off the upcoming work. Downtown right at the harbour is still fun to wander about and people watch.

Sadly though it was off to work so I barely got to spend one whole day in Bergen. Shucks to that. I could easily stay there and find plenty of things to occupy my time. I'm craving more jarlsberg cheese and other yummy things as I type this actually, hmmm maybe a tasty kvikk lunsj chocolate bar too.

After a week or so at work we ventured back near Stavanger and into a smaller town called Tanager. It is your basic industrial type town, and there wasn't much to see while on land and out of the port area. I love the housing style up and around the fjords and in some areas I could easily live, assuming I could afford it. Oh I love Norway.
