Lazying around Amsterdam

Peaceful canal scene

Last night was a shock to the system to sleep in a bed. This morning I had a long and hot shower, it was great!! I was that tired that I slept well and didn't wake up to people coming or leaving the room. Thank goodness there were no loud snorers though. Dodged many cyclists and avoided trams as I walked to the markets. Had a browse around. Walked to the Van Gogh Museum, which was good, as all the descriptions were written in English. Saw his famous painting of sunflowers and learnt about his life.
Bought a few souvenirs. Tried to buy moisturizer, but it only has SPF 4, which isn't good enough as summer is approaching. I really enjoy walking around this city with all the beautiful canals. I think Amsterdam really rivals Venice. It's been great to not be rushing around and be able to take it easy.
