The exploring of this intriguing city has been put on hold for a few days. I have a horrible cold. Jerry has been out looking around and I wandered around a little yesterday. We had a wonderful visit with Coby, the owner of our apartment, this morning. She is full of tips and things to see around the area. So hopefully tomorrow the exploring will begin.
A note about home exchanges--they don't always happen simultaneously. Sometime next summer Coby and Tom will go to our house. When they come we will just go somewhere else, maybe upriver camping. While we are here in Amsterdam Coby is staying on their boat while Tom is visiting relatives in Sweden. So far this system is working out great. We have been in some very nice homes and meeting some interesting people as a bonus.
