RED LIGHT DISTRICT. HEINEKEN. COFFEE SHOPS.SEX SHOPS. AMSTERDAM.

Did I catch your attention now? I was 20 when we went to Amsterdam... but, to my delight their "legal age" in Amsterdam is 18!!! Yey for me :D

So, after going to historical places in Paris, in Italy, and a lot more... this served as kind of a "break" from it all... Yes, we still visited tourist spots such as the famous tulip garden... I think it's a retiree's heaven (no offense). Flower, after flower, after flower... What more could you want. I still enjoyed it, though. The colors were amaaaazing. And it was good for photography 😊... We also went to the windmill farm.. I think that's what you call it...There we saw how they make clogs, we saw how they make cheese, and we saw windmills of course... Still a very refreshing experience. If you do ever visit the Netherlands, go in a big group... It's a lot of fun. :D

The Heineken factory is found there too... FREE BEER !!!! :D
And we were also brought to a diamond factory... blah blah blah...

Then... what happens when the sun goes down?

That week we were there, coincidently, it happened to be one of their holidays... the queen's birthday or something... So the streets were filled with their royal colors: orange and purple (I think). It was indeed very very festive.. Lots of people all around the streets, you could hear music pounding through speakers... It was fun... Just for the experience, a few of us went to a "show"... HAHAHA... wow.... it was rather ... interesting... So, we had a few beers there, got a buzz, then after the show we thought of heading back to the hotel, which unfortunately was kind of far from the city center so we had to catch the last shuttle... On the way to the area of pick-up, the roads were FULL... It was Mardi Gras time !!!! everyone just dancing around the streets with drink ... and joint in hand.... oh it looked fun, but we couldn't stay 😞 I'm sure it would've been a blast !

Anyway, next time I go there, I'll look for a place in the city center.... Oh btw, you cannot take pictures at the Red Light District.. I witnessed this man who tried to take a picture with his phone camera... the girl at the window went out and took his phone... yeap... he'll never see that again.... Oh and about these girls in the windows... There are ALL kinds of women... ALL.. so don't worry men, whatever your fetish, they have 😉
