Castle!
So we stepped off or the ship for the last time with all of our stuff (and there was a lot of it) --> ther ewas so much luggage that the bottom of the charter was full. We had to put luggage in the seats with us on the bus ride away from the ship towards centraal station in Amsterdam. We arrived at Centraal Station around noon on the 19th. We then wandered about for the rest of the day. Because I hadn't slept very well the last night on the ship, I was exhausted. We went to a couple of "Coffee" shops in the late afternoon and enjoyed a few of Amsterdam's cultural offerings... I still prefer a good beer. I found an internet cafe later and spent some time there. By then it was getting later and later in the evening. Megan (who I would be traveling around Europe from this point on with) and I hadn't found a place to stay for the night. We were basically just wandering around Amsterdam killing time in the late evening. Stopping every once and a while to grab a snack or something to drink. Finally we decided to head back

to Centraal Station to sleep there since we didn't have any place to go. It was closed in the public areas. Only a few trains were running so we decided to take one to the Amsterdam International Airport. This would be our home for the next 9 hours. At 11am on the 20th we would head back to Centraal Station and prepare to catch our train to Paris. We finally made it to Paris after 4 stressful hours of travel with all of our luggage from the ship. Once there, we had another long metro ride to another train station. We made it finally and had an authentic French baguette sandwich with a pastry snack on the side. After the refreshing snack we boarded the train that would take us from Paris to Limoges, which is about 40 minutes north of Will's (Megan's friend who we'd be staying with for a couple of nights).

We made it to Will's.... went to sleep early and arose the next day to go Castle hunting on the road of Richard the Lion-hearted. We visited 3 or 4 castles in the French countryside... man, they were majestic... and I really want one. We then headed back to Will's to prepare for our trip for the next three weeks.
