Colonel!
Colonel Sanders, CG and me rocking it haaaaard Since i read Sanders post on Graigs facebook reading 'it will be so good to see my favourite twins again!! We can all wear clogs and dance the holka polka' i knew that it would be a magical experience to see the man himself again. It was better than i could have hoped lol. The colonel is a name that came about as a result of his name being Sander aka. Colonel Sander, nudge nudge, wink wink, lol lol. Basically he is an amzingly friendly and cool man who its just a pleasure to be around. He opened his heart and his home to us for a night. He is living with his aussy girlfriend Jess along with 5 others in a rather thing 1 bathroom duthc place complete with the steepest staircase in the world. I would go so far as to call it a ladder lol. It was very fun though.
They cooked us up an amaying authentic dutch meal before we went out to a hockey bar. Im talking real mans hockey too, not that ice rubbish that canadian wannabies go on about. You could tell it was a hockey bar because some of them even had
Dutch food wall thing
Hilarious and gross. They cook food and put it in these window things, you put money in the slot and the door opens no worries aye. the sticks with them but mainly because male hockey players here have neck length hair, nicely oild and parted back for the maximum sexy time effect. The music in this place was what you expect form any nightclub kind of setting except every few songs they will pump out some dutch pop music. This music is hilarious, its like a cross between irish, circus, folk, happy and polka music. All the dutchmen and woman in the bar come alive at these points and sing along with full force. If you are really lucky they even have little song specific dance moves for them. A good example is one about a guy riding on a train to see his sweetheart, you get to make train wooo wooo's and do some chugga chugga hand motions. Sweeeeeeet lol. When asking Sander about this song as I assumed it was an old song that everyone remembered with good feelings, he shocked me by answering that it was actually a new song lol. So, sweet dance then bed then the next day we had a wander through Eindhoven with Jess. The colonel was finishing his final week of university so we didnt want to impose
Authentica Dutch food
Yum. A dutch dish the colonel made for us. Does not come more authentica than that!! on them too much further and headed out to cologne late that night. We ended up catching a train at like 2100 (things run so late here its hilarious) back to Germany and Cologne.
As a side note about The Netherlands. The reason that they are referred to as Dutch is because english speakers came over, found them and thought they sounded kinda German aka Deutchlanders. When they found out that they were in fact a different peoples with a different language, they simpley became the Dutch instead, because anything else would be too hard. Also, use a basket in the stores here, other wise it looks like your stealing. Also, dutch is a horribly ugly language lol. Also the dutch is the tallest race in the world im told.

your blog about Holland
Dear McMillan, I have read your travelblog about your visit to Holland and it was very interesting! I am Dutch myself and for my Geography Masterthesis I am doing research among tourist bloggers from abroad. Your blog caught my eye because you visited some less famous places in Holland, like Eindhoven. It is so interesting to find out why a part of the tourists in Holland visit those less famous places next to the highlights like Amsterdam and its surroundings. That's why I am wondering if I could ask you some questions about your visit, to complement the info in your blog. It won't be a long survey, but more of a short interview-type conversation about your experience and opinion. You would help me a lot and I am also very curious to know about what you think about Holland and the reasons why you choose to visit it. I really hope to hear from you. The interview will be used in a completely anonymous and confidential way. Kind regards, Theo van Veenendaal tvanveenendaal1986@gmail.com
