The cross in the centre was placed in the forest near the site where Jim Clark's accident happened. When the circuit was shortened the cross was forgotten. One of our Rapier members worked for Lotus and had a hand in errecting this Memorial to one of Formula One's greatest drivers
Arrived in Holland after a hectic 5 days of driving from Briancon in the French Alps. We were both well looked after by Reyn and Lucy and were treated to some wonderful lunches and dinners. Thanks guys.

Fran left for Australia on 2nd of July and I drove to Antwerp the following day to see the people at LMB Racing. Following the directions on our TomTom I broke down 700 meters from their factory! It was the Friday afternoon before the school holidays. I just had enough credit on my phone to call them and they couldn't have been more helpful. The generator had died and after some phone calls a replacement one was organised. They sent me on my way with a new battery and a spare one, just in case.

Ten other Rapiers and a 1929 3 litre Lagonda had already arrived in Arnhem and were enjoying the hospitality of one of our members who resides nearby. I joined the group on Sunday morning at a Hotel in Elst.

Over the next 12 days we travelled via Unkel, Pleisweiler-Oberhofen, Kaysersberg, Bazeilles nr Sedan and St Omer. Our hosts in the towns where we stayed, were fellow

Rapier Register owners and their wives, who had organised things for us to see and do along the way.

Some of the things that we did include;
A lap around the Nurburg Ring
A Rhine Cruise
Visit the Jim Clark Memorial at Hockenheim
Visit the French National Motor Museum inc. the "other cars in the collection"
Visit the old circuit at Reims

It was a great Tour and congratulations to the Organisers and their Assistants.
