Four sunflowers gone to seed - Vincent Van Gogh August to October 1887
After saying the goodbyes to the earth ship crew I ended up catching the train to Arnhem (initially I was intending to ride my bike but I was a bit slow in getting everything done that day). I had decided to do couch surfing again since I had such a nice experience in Gronigen.
Everyone at the Earthship had said how awesome the Kruller Muller museum was so I decided to check it out. Was met by Margreeth at the central station of Arnhem and we rode our bikes to her house. She was so friendly and her place was very gezllig -cosy. She was living in place that was rented out to people at a discount rate so that squatters didn't live there. As a result she had quite a few rooms and I got to even sleep in my own room wit my own bed. I found that I had quite a few things in common with Magreeth and we ended up talking until about 2am that night.

The next day the 12th of October 2008 I went to the Kroller Muller Museum. Its not actually in Arnhem cause when you get to Arnhem you have to go

Pastorale - Babara Hepworth 1953
to the central station then get a two buses there. Anyways in a rush to get to central station I missed the turn off and somehow ended up at Arnhem Zuid. So I missed the bus that I was planning to take. Needless to say, an hour later then i intended i was on my way to the Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe. After getting there I mad my way into the museum. I got a partial discount on the entry into the museum - 3e instead of 10 but the national park was still 7e despite my museum card. The kroller muller museum is a private museum started my Helen Kroller Muller. This museum houses the largest private collection of Vincent Van Gogh along with a few other masterpieces. I spent about 2 - 3 hours just taking in all the works of art. Following that I went outside to take in the sculpture park. It was really nice to walk through the forest - where the sculpture park is and feel the sun shining down on my face. I had lunch here and spoke with Jerry. After that I walked around the sculpture park for about 3 hours.

It was about 5pm when I was done and the museum and sculpture park was finishing up. I called Magreeth and she was heading to a church service so I thought I wont inconvenience her and join her for the service so that she doesn't have to be worry where I am.

I got back to central station and gave her a call. The church she attends is a C3 connect church - which is apparently a church that started in Australia! I found that pretty funny that I hadn't heard of it as its also located not to far from where i was living - in Deewhy whilst I was in Sydney I was living in Artarmon. Thats like the church Hillsong I found out about when I was in England and apparently it all started in Australia. So i went to the church and they were singing in dutch which was good practise for my learning dutch. After that I went with some of Magreeth's friends to KFC for dinner then we went home and talked again until 2am about stuff.

The next morning I made my way to Amsterdam (the 13th).
