SPENDING A DAY IN SKOPJE

Took the 7:30 am bus to Skopje from Ohrid, the bus went through great sceneries, autumn colours abound in the hills and velleys we passed through,according to LP this is the scenic route via Tetovo. @ hours into the trip we got pulled over by a cop, the driver cursing under his breath. We finally made it to Skopje 3 1/2 hours later factoring in the morning traffic in the city. A kind taxi driver showed me where the left luggage is, at the train station! He offered to give me a ride to town but declined him politely. Started walking around, disoriented at first as I cant remember where i saw the stone bridge, found it and wlaked to it, eventually found quite a few mosques and the fortress and the Turkish market, lots of things on sale especially enjoyed the veggie market, lots of peppers of different size and colors. I noticed there are gazillion mosques here and after getting to a few got tired of it and chilled out at the fortresss, had my snack and moved on, nothing spectacular, really getting tired of this fortifications. Went back to the other side at the Macedonia Square walked around the mall area trying to fing the small palque saying where Mother Theresa was born, after going around the square for 1/2 hour finally found it! Bouht lunch at a take away place then ate it near the stone bridge by the river the head off to the Bus station and caught the next bus out to prishtina which is the 2pm bus, did not have the time to change Macedoniain to Euros as the bus is leaving and just hoping I get to change it in Kosovo.

Macedonian border was quick but noticed after that i did not get a stap out of Macedonia, the borde patrol guard in Kosovo also did not stamp me in, so am woried now if it would create a problem later, hopefully not!
