The Holocaust happened throughout many places such as Europe, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Belgium, Holland, and France. The Holocaust was the mass murder of Jews in Nazi Germany and took place during the Second World War. The cause of the Holocaust was due to the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles was restricted, and many people got mad at those who had signed the Treaty of Versailles and after that their savings had been wiped out. Then Hitler came along and defied the treaty. He blamed the economic problems on the Jews and seized power. The significance of this was that it was the greatest act of hate in the last thousand years or more that anyone has ever seen. Also, Hitler had millions of Jews, Catholics, or anyone that disobeyed him dead. This is still significant now because nowadays people treat Jews with more respect than they did before the Holocaust, and there hasn’t been an event like this in ages.
