This morning my cousin Tiziano and his wife Simonetta took us for a drive towards to the Val d'Aosta region. This is a region near the French and Swiss border. There are heaps of castles here and alpine resorts. We visited the Fort of Bard, a castle that is built on a rock on a hill. It is now the Museum of the Alps. In the castle there were many multimedia displays hi-lighting the history of the alps and the people who live here. Was pretty interesting. Old castle on the outside, and very modern on the inside. We then stopped for a pizza for lunch and spent new years eve with all the family.
