Cinque Terre -Monterosso

Our brief visit to the Cinque Terre Coast was delightful. It was extremely hot during our 24 hour stay and thus on arrival at 5.00pm we enjoyed a swim in the inviting sea water before cocktails at a beachfront bar, and dinner. Again the following morning, it was incredibly hot so we only walked a short distance over to Old Monterosso and took a boat tour of the coastline, pulling into the remaining four towns along the way. When we exited the boat at Riomaggiore we walked up very the very steep hillside to visit the Monastery before catching the local train back to our hotel. The coastline is spectacular from the water and we're really happy to have seen so much of this area in this manner.
