Florence and Pisa
After I slept most of the train trip to Florence away, I felt much better, we arrived and was an easy walk to our hostel/hotel. We arrived at the correct address and knocked at the door but no one was there? So after a fair bit more knocking I called the lady who had no idea who we were, turns out when I had cancelled the room because of getting the apartment I Rome I had replied to the wrong address and cancelled this one! Luckily she hadn’t sold the room so she grudgingly let us in and showed us what looked like quite a nice room, so after unloading all our stuff we had a quick but tasty lunch and headed out to explore Florence. We quickly found a huge amount of stalls and hawkers, with some really cool things, woven hangings, all sorts of touristy stuff and the usual fake bag guys, they all seem to be African, I think they’ve started a

knock off bag syndicate in Italy lol. So after being very touristy most of that afternoon we took a nice walk around and had a look at all the old buildings and crowded streets, of course stopping for a photo op at each one of the sites not to mention all the designer label stores haha. We spend a good hour on a bridge just relaxing eating trail mix and watching people walk by enjoying the sun(actual sun shine!!)! Anyway after all that uncultured travelling we decided to head to Pisa and check out the leaning tower. So we jumped on a train to Pisa there were amazing views out the window, unfortunately the windows were so dirty none of my pics came out! Oh well, we arrived just as it was getting dark, so walking through the street on the way to the tower were impressed to see so many people out on the streets. After a lot of walking and a bit of getting lost we finally found the tower, it was great but unfortunately it was unlit so I wasn’t able to take any photos, but we had lots of fun playing with the tripod and overexposure.

markets
After that we had a dinner of bread, olive oil, tomatoes and Parmesan, which was delicious as usual. After that we went for a long walk around the outside the city’s wall, retuning back a conveniently open gelato shop😉 After desert we headed back through the city and on to the train back to Florence. Arriving back at the hostel I climbed into be to find the whole bottom section of my bed wet! So that was a bit of a disappointment then taking a shower in the morning the showers went cold after 5min! so in all I’d say go couch surfing its safer;-p lol We spent the morning exploring and managed to go into a great cathedral/museum or free and saw an amazing alter type room with huge tombs unfortunately I couldn’t take pics though
After we headed home and rushed for the train, making it just in time we found some good seats and settled in for the ride. For lunch we had the usual bread and tomato still not sick of it haha.
