25 September 2018 We continued along the coast through more attractive resorts to Savona. Then it was inland along river valleys and forested hills to The Langhe region, well known for its white and black truffles, veal and Nebbiolo wine producing grapes. Our first stop was at the wine producing village of Barolo, where we had hoped to stop the night , but unexpectedly, we were not allowed an overnight stay on one of the car parks. We didn’t like the nearby campsite, so continued to a camper stop at the capital of the area, Alba.
In the evening we walked into town for a meal, but either the local cuisine was not to our taste or we made a bad choice of restaurant because it was not the most enjoyable eating out experience we have had.
