10:30 am - plane from Venice to NY. Arrival and go home and sleep because I'm really tired.
It took a full ten hours and fifty minutes to finally arrive at my destination, Venice. But that was after the one hour delay I spent in a delta airline plane. The hours dragged on and I was itching in my first class seat. I was thankful for the fact I was not sitting in economy. In the air, I watched
Zooptopia, after watching two other movies, while not noticing the plane descending into mainland Venice. While contemplating the sadness of not finishing my movie I caught a cab to Belmond Hotel Cipriani, the place I would be staying at. And you wouldn't believe the expense I paid for one night at this place. Once I arrived I realized I was completely exhausted which slightly confused me because I was only in a plane the whole day. It was 9:05 at night and my stomach was growling. I took my luggage upstairs to my room and ordered a crab and cream brûlée from the room service menu. Then I decided to finish the Zootopia and found it
on the television. I ate, watched, and went to sleep.
I woke to the sound of an alarm. It was six-thirty and I didn't want to wake up. But, in anticipation of my day packed full of activities I decided to get up. I ordered a parfait with fruit and got really for my day. Once my stomach was full I walked to Saint marks basilica. I scouted out the place for a bit and then walked over to the Rialto Bridge. I then heard something strange. It was my stomach demanding food. I grabbed some gelato from a vendor on the way to the gondola ride I planned before. The ride was magical. The gondola gave me a little tour of the whole city so now I really know my way around. I have a really good memory so I know where all the jewelry shops are now. I also know where all the important museums are now too. I mean the museums with all the expensive paintings and sculptures. Then I asked the gondolier to bring me to the piazza San Marco. I asked the gondolier to wait for me for ten minutes. He obliged
and I scouted the place piazza San Marco quickly. Then got back of the gondola and rode it to the Teatro La Fenice. The I got to experience the most wonderful opera I have ever heard. The music was magnificent and the experience can only be understood if you saw it yourself. I felt my trip was fulfilled and I wearily walked back home. To calm myself down I took a swim in the hotel pool, ate some gelato, and ordered dinner. Of course, I also watch a movie. But fell asleep and didn't get to finish the movie.
I once again got woken up by the alarm clock and knew immediately I would be leaving this beautiful city today. I didn't want to and I wanted to drag my feet so I could star just one more second. But I knew if I didn't hurry I would miss the bus shuttle to the airport.
As I was walking through airport security I was hoping no one would notice what I had In my suitcase. But since there was nothing that looked suspicious in the security scan I got away. I was very happy with the fruits of my labor as I flew away in the plane. I thought about the art and jewels I had in my suitcase and was quite pleased with what I got away with. I now look forward to my next escapade and trip to Venice.
