Getting to Venice was supposed to be easy… but this time we got turned around in the subway station rather than above ground, and then had to deal with unbelievable crowds and signs pointing us the wrong way to check in at the airport! I'm not sure if the people were lining up for the gondola rides of if the gondolas were the ones lining up. In any case, starting at $270/ hr, someone was making a lot of money.

My guess is that they didn't have permission to have this ceremony since they ran out with a priest/minister, had the ceremony, threw the rice and ran off into the alleyways - all within 2 - 3 minutes.
