Finally in Venice!

We finally arrived in Venice (yes if any of you smart cookies noticed the skip of two days, it did take us that long to get here!) at around 9:30 am. The looonnnnggg ferry ride had not been as bad as we had expected but long none the less. As we approached Venice via the ferry I could tell I was going to love this place. Matt had already been here before but was excited to return. We found our accomodation at Hotel Primavera which was only a short bus ride from the action. We had a much needed sleep and then headed into town and had an amazing meal on the Grand Canal over-looking the Rialto bridge. After that we strolled beside the canals and had some Gelati of course! Earlier we had bought boat tickets that transported us around the main town (as there are no cars or buses in town) so when our evening was complete we caught the boat to the bus station and then the bus back to the hotel. Venice is fantastic!
