Venice - Last Day Of Carnival

February 17th 2007 I've been slacking and am just now entering my first blog post a month and a half after I got to Austria and Venice was definitely one of the best times here. Probably more than 500,000 people on this little island = insanity. Wandering around during the day and checking out all the architecture and canals was good, although definitely just a one day thing. If you aren't a broke student like myself there's tons of good places to shop. The smell from the water in the canals is enough to make you not want to stay too long though. At night there was a big concert type deal in the city center. People from everywhere in the world dancing and enjoying themselves. They had a projector to put different patterns on the buildings, which gives me some of my best pictures.
