Today we woke to a lovely day and decided for lunch we would buy some local fare and have a picnic. We walked over the Ponte Vecchio and did the hell walk up to Piazza Michelangelo, where the a replica statue of David is. We were disappointed to find, not rolling green parks and gardens, but a dirty great carpark, with tourist stalls everywhere and nowhere decent to sit and relax. So we walked all the way back down. Stopped near the river front for our picnic, then went back to the hotel.

Tomorrow is Zacs day. Early in the morning we pick up a rental car from Florence Airport and drive to Maranello, the home of Ferrari, the Ferrari museum, the Ferrari test track, the Ferrari factory. The place where Zac will tick off number one on his bucket list. Drive a Ferrari.
