Before televisionBefore televisionBefore television

Before we figured out the television schedule and how to get Internet access, the children had to be creative in how they entertained themselves.
We are establishing a routine, especially when it comes to what is on television. Every day, Naomi hopes for an Italian version of Hannah Montana (at least the theme song is in English), but we have not been able to figure out with any regularity when this program is on. The world stops turning at 6:35 each evening because Mr. Bean is on in English. The kids revolve around that. It's not even the REAL Mr. Bean -- just the kid cartoon version. But they love it. Sam also watches Popeye in Italian almost every morning. He'll probably learn more Italian than all of us just from it. That Olive Oyl gets on my nerves. It's especially annoying in Italian when she's yelling AIUTO! AIUTO! (help! help!). I swear woman: save yourself. Don't count on some spinach-induced male to come to your rescue.
