David!

After our continental breakfast at the hotel (bread rolls and butter wohoo lucky we brought vegemite) we headed straight to Academia to see Michaelangelo´s ¨David¨. After waiting about one and a half hours in the line we were not disappointed. We saw absolutely amazing art and yes ¨David¨was spectacular. I was amazed at how big the sculpture was, David´s hand was probably bigger than our heads! We then went to the Uffizi gallery where yet again we were amazed at the fabulous art and sculptures. The highlight for me was seeing Botticelli´s ¨The Birth of Venus¨(I am sure we had a print of that in our toilet when I was a kid he he he) In the evening we had a lovely meal and then headed to do our much needed washing (sad but true).
