Best location yet!

On our bus trip today we stopped at a lovely place called Orvieto about three hours from Rome. We caught a cable car up the mountain to the main town and strolled through the streets up to the amazing Duomo (cathedral). We saw there was a wedding about to happen and Matt was impressed that the wedding car was a ferrari.

We arrived in Florence about 2:30pm and headed to hotel Medici. We were a little concerned because on our booing form it said we had no facilities. But to our happiness the hotel had clean spacious rooms with shared bathroom facilities and it was smack bang in the centre of town (we could see the Duomo from the window).

In the evening we went to dinner with the busabout crowd. It was a four course meal and red wine yay! Then we listened to all the silly contiki drunks sing kareoke (we are so glad we didn´t do a tour) . A good night was had by all and we experienced our first bit of rain as we ran back to the hotel bohoo!
