Pub Night!
Yes, we did order tea! Ciao Ciao! I am been so busy lately, but at the same time it feels like I have a lot of free time. I am finally settling in at school, well thats not true. Italian schools, wow what can I say about them. They are very disorganized and not the cleanest schools in the world. I go to a school named Leonardo Da' Vinci. I have a schedule of classes I am supposed to take, but most of them are wrong. I have been going to a lot of random classes. I have a feeling I will not be doing anything in school this semester. Hopefully I will get credits. It is also hard to be in a class when you have no idea what they are saying. Most of the time I just bring my Italian books and study. Or, just talk to Meri or other students. It is a much shorter day of school then in Raleigh, but it feels longer. It feels like the day goes so slow, even though it really doesn't. The classes I am taking are chemistry, italian (tons of italian classes), english, spanish, history, english history, and a few others. My Spanish teacher told
my liason that I was horrible in Spanish and she thought I would be a lot better. Trust me, I was mad. I know I am not great, but I am a lot better than some of those students. Also, with my English class, I just found out that we are going to Paris in April. I am SO excited. Gah, Paris. Wow. I also just got invited to go to England. Oh my goodness, Meri and I almost freaked. We were speechless, England. We know we are already going to Paris, so England is a no, because it is so expensive. With Paris, the school is paying for half of it. With England, they are taking a few of the best English speaking students, and we have to pay our own way. Still, England, WOW! Meri and I keep seeing signs of England. It might sounds stupid but we keep seeing like Londan logos, and pictures of England. Who knows, but how amazing would that be? Lets see, what else? I had dinner on Wednesday night with Meri's class. I love those people, they are probably some of the nicest Italians you will meet. Hmm, I hope everyone had
a great Valentines Day. Meri, Jess, and I came to my house and watched a film. It was so nice to finally have the house to ourselves. It was a great Italian movie, well I guess it didn't count because we had subtitles, but we loved it anyway. We ate a LOT of fruit. I guess its hard for you to understand, but I will say again how amazing the fruit is. All 3 of us had 5 oranges. Lets just say, we weren't feeling good after that. On Friday, I went to Palermo with my class and Marco's class in school. Meri came with me and we had a lot of fun. We got on a bus at 6 am and drove 3 hours to Palermo. We saw a dinosaur museum and walked around Palermo. Marco and I are in the scientifico school and the rest of the classes are linguistico. So, it was basically a fieldtrip for scientifico classes. It was strange though, because after we saw the museum, we went bowling. Their idea of a fieldtrip, I love it! Meri and I bowled and we both won a game. We then went to this gorgeous mansion and
it was full of art. It was amazing and something I had never seen before. We got back at like 11, so it was a LONG day. Marco and I skipped school yesterday because we were so exhausted. I watched an Italian film yesterday with Jess, Meri, and our Italian tutor. I didn't really understand the point of watching it because we had subtitles, but it was nice. Italians make some good movies. Then around 9:30 or so we went out to the Piazza. I had a lot of fun last night and met a ton of great people. Today, I think Marco and I are going to study Italian for me, and English for him. I'm trying to make him stop speaking English because it's getting difficult for me to learn Italian. I am trying to get him to play soccer with me today, I have been offered by a lot of his friends to play, but I need to brush up on my skills before that. Haha just kidding 😊 Anyways, I've been having fun and I have been meeting tons of people, which is always good. I uploaded some pictures, so enjoy! I miss you guys! Keep
writing me, I love it! Love Love Love! Ciao!
