Safe plane flight, although very bumpy indeed! I got (Pete) a bit flight sick, but nothing to worry about...
Doing very well so far (we think) as we managed to get through the airports OK and then find our hostel in Bergamo! (The Ryanair equivalent of Milan!)
the old part of the town is very beautiful with a massive basilica called de santa maria maggiore, but we are currently in the new town down the bottom of the hill.
getting to the old town is exciting (for us fen boggers 😊 ) as it requires a cable car. Very steep, but luckily as Lisa is scared of heights, you never have to leave the ground!
Have been wandering around the newer part of town (after a well deserved nap) and managed to find this internet café down one of the back streets.
Next, dinner.....
Tomorrow we take the train to Innsbruck through the mountains which we flew over on the way in.

"Well, I got up this morning"..
...and on my way to work...after dropping you at Sunny Stanny, I met Charlie at KX! He was waiting for a train home after a dirty nite out..... He asked after the intrepid travellers, sends love and stuff. Your Grandad spent time in Italy during and after the war, but I think it was the south western coast line. From the Blog map, you are right on the edge of the mountains! ( north east of you?) Have a good nite, and keep on Blogging! XX all@215
