We arrived back in Rome just after 9:30pm. On the walk back to our apartment we stopped to take some photos of the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica as it was really nicely lit up. We also noticed that it was surrounded by armed military guards. Tonight the city seemed very quiet. We were a little peckish, so went in search of take-away food. There weren't many options that appealed to us. We settled on Turkish food. I choose a felafel. We walked back to our apartment and ate our very late dinner.

After dinner I took a few photos of the view from the apartment windows and then went to bed.
