Yo Yo - After Cadaques, it was off to France where we picked up our 2005 Opel Astra - Quite a cool little car. We cruised along the coast of France stopping at all the cool coastal beaches and cities. I was surprised at how beautiful the coast was - some awesome beaches. This is also where Tim, Dan and I got our first taste of driving on the other side of the road - We all got a bit of a shock as the roads are narrow as, and French drivers are pretty crazy - But we survived - Then it was off to Italy - we cruised down the East coast, stopped in at Sicilly and then cruised up the centre back to France.
ITALIANS ARE ABSOLUTLY FLIPPEN MAD - Most are nice people, but they are so passionate about everything and I swear everyone of them has a deathwish when in a car or on a scooter - Ive never seen anything like it - The number of near misses we had in two weeks would be about 50 times as many as I have ever had In NZ in my lifetime. There were many times we would pull over for a break beacause we couldnt handle it - or we needed to change our undies. After clipping numerous wing mirrors, I managed to disintigrate one of ours - Damn - but we were pretty lucky to get away with just that - we would frequently be heading down a one way road the wrong way (not knowing this) and be greeted by an Italian coming straight for us with all four wheels locked up and pouring out smoke - one time it was a bus - Scary stuff.
Anyway - Italy is awesome - I was not sure what to expect, and must admit I was a bit oblivious to what was there so was totally blown away by everything - I think the Vatican City was my favorite - spent 5 hours in there which for me is unbelievable. There were also some cool as beaches and it was seriously hot - close to 40 degrees.

Anyways, got heaps of photos so will let them do the talking - Peace - Look out as this is a damn big blog
