Final Day - Fiumicino

Last day of a pretty amazing trip. This morning we walked down to the harbor. There was lift bridge for boats as well as pedestrians. It was interesting to note that the brick sides of the canal are being rebuilt. One can only imagine how long the originals have been there. We saw fishermen packing their nets presumably after a morning fishing expedition. Then through the town where we saw a children's area which seems to be a somewhat permanent establishment with various amusements. Back to the hotel and then a quick trip into Ostia Antica town before returning the car to the airport. Total distance traveled - 4127 kilometers excluding air travel.

Tomorrow we are up early for the shuttle to the airport at 6:45. Our flight leaves at 8:45 and our hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport.
