sorrento portotoday we wish we were still in warm Israel last night was blowing a gale and we are up on a hill so it was windy and cold and to top it off sometime during the night I was woken by a bang and a rush of wind as the double doors to our bedroom burst open and now it wont shut properly , fortunately they have shutters outside so we closed them and went back to sleep but this morning it was still windy and today we go to the Island of Capri
we got off to a start about 8 and walked down to the ferry about 1hr walk looking at some shops on the way, it was a bit sheltered from the wind in the town but the sea was rough
the boat is a big jet foil so it didn't feel too rough and we arrived in about half an hour
the Island is beautiful but not much shelter from the wind except in the shops so we spent a bit of time looking in shops, we went up the cable train to the town of Capri first and had a look around and

bit rough then found a sheltered spot in the sun in a cemetery in which to have our packed lunch.
the streets are very narrow some you couldn't fit a car down and so the fire brigade has a specially built tiny narrow fire truck.
after lunch we went to Anacapri which is on the other side so it was more sheltered from the wind and we had a great coffee at an outdoor cafe best so far in Italy.
we bought some tile numbers for our new house and then headed back down to catch the ferry, the wind is starting to die down now so I bought an ice-cream while Esther looked in more shops.
had a smoother trip back though still a bit rough and had time to look around a bit more in Sorrento after climbing 109 steps up from the harbour.
we bought some chicken , lamb chops and potatoes and made dinner when we got home, and then with the owners tools fixed the door so it wont blow open tonight.
