Another example of bad bringing good. The button to push to make the train door open didn't work, so we were stuck going to the next town, which gave us a chance to meet the engineer/driver who helped us figure out how to get back to our destination. She spoke pretty good English, too.

Scilla is a town built on rock starting from the beach up. I wanted to swim, but it was a bit too windy.

We've walked the "passagiata" along Corso Garibaldi several times. People walk, talk, shop, etc. Dogs are welcome.

Looks like a big rock sculpture in the middle of the patio, but it's just rock they built around.

This is the swimming side. Small pebbles instead of sand help the water to look crystal clear. So sorry not to be able to swim. I may have to wait until I get to Sicily.
