We finally left the Halligans intending to drive to Killarney in the south west of Ireland and the finish of a tour we did in 2008. However when we got about half way there we had had enough of driving and as we were in the vicinity of the Glen of Aherlow an area near to Tipperary Joe had recommended for a visit we decided to stop there. We found a very pleasant campsite in the Glen with beautiful views over the Galtee Mountains.
