ok so the bus trip was adventurous.
i slept most of the way and i am sorry that i did because it was beautiful the times i woke up
funny story to tell you
there are signs everywhere at these bus stations that say do not bring hot drinks on the buses...well when i was in cork and transferring to another bus this woman proceeds to attempt to get on the bus. the woman bus driver and she is a firecracker i tell ya told her no hot drinks...the woman replies, oh i do it all the time. driver replies, not on my bus, sorry you have to get rid of it. lady goes around the corner of the bus, thought she was being slick and puts it in her bag...LOL she proceeds to step back on the bus and has a seat. driver gets up after checking a few passengers tickets, she says take that drink out yer bag. lady insists she doesn't have anything. so the driver makes her get off the bus and show her where she dumped the cup because the driver said she went behind the bus and there were no trash cans so it should be there or she needed to open her bag...they proceeded to get off the bus and she wouldn't show her the inside of her bag...the lady tries to get back on and the driver says i sorry your not getting on this bus. they get off the bus again and she brings her inside the station at this time the driver runs back to the bus and says oh well and starts to take off....hahahaha...just then the lady starts running back...she attempts to get back on and again this goes on and on she kicks the lady off again saying like bloody hell yooor gettin on my bus. lady goes inside the station again, driver closes door and she starts backing up...we witness lady dumpin out coffee and start runnin after bus. LOL driver said sorry i gave you a chance to pour it out. she so left her at the bus station....man oh man...it was something!

As i was in route, i got a text from Robin, wanting to know if i made it back ok from going out last night forgot to text him when i made it back from the hostel last night. OOPS (Glad i got them looking out for me) they drove 8 hours to the skellig...batman hasn't even slept all night at that point...they are some crazy fools. but actually i had a whole room to myself last night at the hostel because the boston boys wanted some good sleep so they rented a hotel away fromm all the noise...so that was pretty nice for me.

Sherkin Island
Nuala Norris met me in a town called Clonakility and we road there to skibereen. then hopped on another bus to baltimore village. from there we had to take a ferry to the island..i say ferry but its more like a little boat. haha...it had the cutest little dog on it too. anyway, at Baltimore her son william was there and when we got to the island her husband picked us up. he is a farmer, they raise cattle here. do their own butter, milk, cream....wow, this is a town population like 400. he owns i think he said roughly 100 something acres and his family total own 300. total acreage on the island if 1400. 'now her husband...gosh i think his name is Jon..tha tis what i will call him for now...lol i am terrible. I can barely understand her husband...i have to really really concentrate...and ya'll now how hard of hearing i am...OMG i listen to him an dthen i turn to his wife nuala...lol...like please help...hahaha
Jon has told me so much family history. they have alot here on this island. so i went up to the room took a a brief nap because supper would be ready in about an hour. i also took a short shower...you have to turn on the water heater here...then wait 30 minutes...when i tell u there is nothing here except a few houses and farm that is it...i can't believe that they have internet and phone. this really is out of nowhere. jon told me looking outside of his house that this is the last land before america. i should have recorded him...he was like paw paw coon...really, so much history in this man.
so i nap, shower and she tells me to have a seat for dinner. out comes steak and chips. with salad. they had the table set with another dish...god i didn't know what to do because i had 2 forks one knife...i figured the side plate was for the salad...well of course i start it off...put my salad in the plate use one of the forks for salad the other for the steak, right??? nope all wrong amy...put the salad in the plate and i didn't know the other was for dessert...hahaha..oops. then i start cutting my steak and my piece of meat falls on the floor...i swear i fell quite ridiculous at this point. anyway we ate i helped in the kitchen we sat down and had coffee and cake and we talked about my irish ancestors and they made some very good points about how to go about finding about my family and such. it was a great talk after taht i took off for a walk for abut an hour it gets dark about 10pm here...make it back just before that. jon was tending to the cattle with this metal device and i don't even want to know...but he directed me to go down the path cause there was a calf born...sure enough it was curled up on the road. i took a picture then i saw momma...so i uh turned around and hoped it wouldn't run after me...headed back and saw jon again doing whatever to the cattle he told me run quickly now so i am assuming he didn't want me to disturb him..haha

signing off now from sherkin village...more later
