Wow, the last two days have been whirlwind. We are tired but loving it! I didn’t get to update yesterday so here goes. We had breakfast at our hotel in Dublin. I am now fully addicted to Irish bacon (rashers)! We then visited Trinity College and went to the exhibit on the Book of Kells and visited their beautiful historic library. We walked around the city for a while and headed toward Kinsale. We stopped at a pub In Waterford and enjoyed some
Great food and libations! Finally we made it to our Airbnb. In my opinion it has bee the best thing ever! We have the whole house to ourselves and we are walking distance to The fishing village of Kinsale! Today we had breakfast there and explored. Then headed to Cobh. It was the main port for Irish Immigrants leaving for American the 1850’s. Craig was able to obtain the date and name of the ship his Great-great Grandfather left for America on! It was also a port for the Titanic and the Lusitania! The Titanic docked there three days before it sank and took on passengers there. Finally, we came back to Kinsale for dinner and a pint at the pub. We are back at the Airbnb now and head to the Cliffs of Moher tomorrow. Here are a ton a pictures that tell the story way better than I can!
