It's a long way to Tipperary
Today we got up and drove to town of Waterford in the Waterford County it is the oldest city in Ireland, it was founded by the Vikings in 853. We went to Reginalds Tower one of the oldest building in town. Waterford is world famous for its hand cut crystal and the Waterford crystal factory is in the town. We then drove along the rugged copper coast though the villages of Dunmore East, Dungarvan and Tramore. We then drove on to the city of Tipperary in the county of Tipperary. At the city’s edge there is a sign saying welcome to Tipperary it was a long way here! All who now the song will get this and we could not help but sing ‘it is a long way to Tipperary’ all the way there. We drove to the village of Cashel to see the Rock of Cashel a group of medieval buildings on an outcrop of limestone in the golden Vale. We then drove back home and had dinner.
