Day 1
We headed to Dublin by train since our Eurails were still valid and we are seriously running out of money. Dublin is just as crowded and busy as I remember and it also reminded me why I didn't like the city the last time. But our hostel was fabulous and made up for it for the most part! We wandered around St. Stephens Green which was a really nice green space in the middle of the city. There was this cute baby duck who lost its mom and cried for a very long time. Another man went to get a park ranger because he was concerned for the little guy. It was really cute. We wandered around the shopping area and Temple Bar but decided on instant noodles for dinner instead. 😊

Day 2
I went into Trinity Collage to lay my eyes on the mystic Book of Kells. Poked some questions at one of the curators and then, an hour later, made my way through the massive library of old leatherbound books. And finally...met up with Amie outside who just happened to be having a bit of a snooze on the park bench. (Too bad she didn't put a hat out, maybe we could've made some money!) We wandered to Christ Church Cathedral which had the most detailed floor tiles I've ever seen. Then we went to the old Jameson Whiskey Brewery. Of course there was some tasting. Amie definetely stated her dislike for whiskey. We forgoed a trip through the Guinness Factory, went back into town, passed through St. Patrick's Cathedral and wandered about Temple Bar (again). It was an expensive Pub/Restaurant area but also the most lively. Since it was our last night in Ireland we had a good Irish dinner of stew and their special potatoes which was consumed with some guinness. It's true, the guinness does taste a little better in these parts.
